Qualifications
- Requires current state of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires Certification as Nurse Practitioner from the state of Indiana as required for exercising prescriptive authority
- Requires clinical expertise as applicable to individual area.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Must meet the educational and experiential requirement as outlined in Indiana Administrative Code 848 IAC 4-4-4 Nurse Practitioner.
- Requires a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Knowledge of the service standards and regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.
- Requires the ability to assess learning needs and complete educational programs.
- Requires strong communication; negotiation; collaboration and problem- solving skills.
- Requires the ability to be flexible and work effectively in teams/groups.
- Travel may be required.

- Precepted Continuity Clinics- exclusive attention of an expert preceptor
- Mentored Clinics- see patients within primary care provider’s schedule
- Specialty Clinics- OB/GYN, Psychiatry, Pharmacy, and more
- Didactic Sessions- Lectures led by HN providers with expertise in psychiatry, cardiology, and primary care, journal review, case, Curbsiders Internal Medicine Podcast Discussion
- Quality Improvement- Azara DRVS data-based quality improvement with focus on social determinants of health and preventative health prioritization
